See our Laser Cutters in Action!

Laser cutting is the most cost-effective cutting technology that produces clean smooth edges, extreme accuracy, and can be repeated. Designs are processed through sophisticated nesting software to ensure best usage of material and maximum control over the cutting process. From machining parts to intricate nameplates, signs, and designs, our laser cutting services will provide you with high quality pieces.

Our three in-house laser cutters are speedy and extremely accurate, which allows us to offer high quality production and quick turnaround, while lowering your overall costs.

Benefits of Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is the most cost-effective cutting technology that produces clean, smooth edges, extreme accuracy, and can be repeated. Designs are processed through sophisticated nesting software to ensure best usage of material and maximum control over the cutting process.

Basics of Laser Cutting

As the name implies, laser cutters use a high-powered laser to cut through various types of metal. The laser beam is a column of very high intensity light, of a single wavelength, or color. The beam is only about 3/4″ in diameter as it travels from the laser resonator through the machine’s path. The focused laser beam then travels through a nozzle before hitting the material. Along with the focused beam is compressed gas, such as Oxygen or Nitrogen.

Cutting with a Waterjet

Waterjet cutting is a unique process that provides good edge quality with no burrs and typically eliminates the need for secondary finishing processes. Waterjets do not generate heat, eliminating distortion and leaving the material edge unaffected. Our waterjet cutting machines are capable of cutting virtually any material, including: stainless, aluminum, carbon, heat treated carbon alloys, nickel, titanium, plastic, granite, marble, and more.

Benefits of Waterjet Cutting

Waterjet cutting is a unique process that provides a good quality cut edge and typically eliminates the need for secondary finishing processes. As the name implies, a waterjet takes ordinary tap water and turns it into a powerful and effective cutting tool, able to cut through a 6″ slab of stainless steel.

Basics of Waterjet Cutting

Waterjets are fast, flexibile, and reasonably precise. Abrasive waterjet uses purified and chilled water and pressurizes it up to 60,000 PSI which then forces it through a .014” diamond orifice creating a super-sonic cutting stream. This pressurized water is traveling so fast that it creates a ventury, drawing the crushed garnet into the cutting stream which physically erodes the material out of the way (much like liquid sandpaper). Unlike thermal cutting (i.e. flame, plasma & laser) which heat the material beyond its melting temperature and blowing it out of the way, waterjet is more known to be a cold cutting process.

sanitary design

Designing for Sanitary Equipment

In the food processing industry, it is essential that all equipment is built to strict hygienic design standards, ensuring everything can be cleaned and sanitized quickly and easily. Such standards help eliminate product contamination by any number of microorganisms known to cause dangerous infection and disease in humans. One poorly designed piece of equipment is all it takes for microorganisms to grow and fester, and eventually contaminate every product going across your line. One need only look back to the Listeria outbreak of 2002 to see the ramifications of a contaminated product.

When looking to replace worn-out equipment or expand your processing operations, it is imperative to find an equipment fabricator who knows and adheres to sanitary design. Doing so will save you time, money, and help in keeping your product from contamination.
