Fusion Tech Crafts Pentagon Plaques for Memorial

Fusion Tech is proud to have crafted two signs for the limestone Pentagon block that was added to the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles, Illinois last year.

Located at 229 Main Street, the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial is sponsored by the Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run to honor the soldiers killed in action in the Middle East. Every third Sunday in June, the names of the soldiers killed in action during the previous year are etched into the wall.

The memorial includes a limestone block of the Pentagon that was recovered from the crash site and collapse of the outer wall. Last year, it was placed in a temporary location due to the expansion of the Wall Memorial. The block has been moved to its final location and the new plaques Fusion Tech crafted have been placed over the old Pentagon shapes.

plaqueClarence Hoffman, Vice President of Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run, contacted us to cut two pentagon shaped signs, etched with the following inscription:

September 11th, 2001, 9:37am
American Airlines Flight 77 crashes into the west wall of the Pentagon. This limestone block was recovered from the crash site and collapse of the outer wall. This block is being places here to honor the 184 lives lost that day at the Pentagon attack site. Never Forget 9/11 and all who perished that day.

You can see the the limestone block with the new plaques at the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, June 20 from 1—3pm.
