How Does Snaptivation Work?

Snaptivation may sound complex, especially when talking about the cloud and utilizing mobile devices, but it is extremely easy to use! Below, we’ve laid out how Snaptivation works and what is involved, to give you a clearer picture of this amazing tool.

Set Up

Setting up Snaptivation is easy! When you sign up to use Snaptivation Asset Management, you will be provided with:

  • Stainless information tags to attached to equipment
  • Snaptivation admin panel to upload documents

Each piece of equipment you want to manage will be supplied with a metal tag listing out pertinent information, including: equipment id, model number, and a QR Code. The QR Code is how your employees will access all the important documents related to that piece of equipment.

In order to get up and running, you will fill out information sheets about every piece of equipment, and Snaptivation will provide you with a stainless tag linking that equipment to a page in your Snaptivation Admin Panel. You will upload all the documents necessary for that piece of equipment via the Admin Panel.

It’s that easy! No expensive equipment to buy or servers to maintain.


Once your tags are affixed to your equipment and all documents are uploaded, you’re good to go! Using Snaptivation is a snap. It literally is as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Open QR Scanning App
    Open a QR scanning app on your mobile device. There are a number of free apps available in your phone’s app store.
  2. Scan the QR Code
    Simply point your device at the QR code on the equipment tag and scan.
  3. Get the Information
    The QR code will trigger an action – like loading the webpage or pertinent document – and supply all the information you need. It’s that simple!
