Job Purpose:

 The TIG Welder/Fabricator will do a variety of tasks in the Manufacturing Facility. They will work to complete needed tasks as requested by the Fabrication Supervisor. The primary role is fabricating and welding stainless steel components per blueprints and producing high-quality parts. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret work orders and blueprints or instructions to assemble or perform TIG welding tasks.
  • Scan in and out of jobs in the ERP system to accurately record time to the project.
  • Set up welding components/equipment to set specifications.
  • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning them with proper compounds and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, dirt, grease, and moisture as needed.
  • Perform high-level welding based on projects tasks on stainless steel of varying thicknesses
  • De-bur, polish, or grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture and quality welds
  • Use power saws, grinders, and other pneumatic/electrical tools in cutting, beveling, and contouring metal workpieces.
  • Repair structures as required by dismantling, reshaping, repairing, and reassembling metal components using cutting torches/plasma torches, and hand-cutting tools.
  • While welding monitor work equipment and temperatures to avoid overheating and expansion.
  • Fit piping and structural members to meet drawing dimensions while maintaining square and plum joints.
  • Inform the supervisor of problems, concerns, or mistakes with a project.
  • Mount or secure workpieces on equipment with cranes or hoists
  • Maintain surface quality of raw material by proper material handling requirements
  • Understand the effects heat has on stainless steel alloys and use preventative/corrective techniques to control distortion.
  • Mechanical assembly of stainless steel components using hand and pneumatic tooling.
  • Work overtime on weekdays/weekends when necessary as set forth by the fabrication supervisor.
  • Operate various machines, equipment, and tools, such as band saws, cold saws, hydraulic presses, and overhead cranes.
  • Assist to organize, clean, and set up shop and areas requested to accommodate manufacturing needs.
  • Transfer parts from various work areas via forklift/overhead crane
  • Work within deadlines and complete tasks efficiently
  • Must have QC check and approve parts and assemblies before moving on to the next operation.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications:

  • Strong TIG Welding/Fabrication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metals and fabrication – stainless steel preferred
  • Strong blueprint interpretation skills
  • Basic computer experience
  • Excellent math skills
  • Must be able to accurately read tape a measure and other measuring/layout tools
  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to adjust to changes in schedules with little notice
  • Must operate forklift
  • Operate various hand tools and equipment –including grinders, portable band saw, air tools, wrenches, etc.
  • Must work effectively under the supervision and independently follow work orders.
  • Must listen and follow directions
  • Analytical thinking
  • Strong Time Management Skills

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work inside the shop setting with exposure to shop noise, dust particles, and field elements to be expected in this role. Occasionally you will work outside.

Compensation:

Salary will be determined by experience and qualifications. A benefits package that includes health insurance, PTO, and a simple IRA will be provided.

Job Title:

Press Brake & Roll Operator

Reports To:

Fabrication Supervisor

Job purpose

This position will be responsible for operating the press brake to form multiple types of metal, primarily sheet metal. They will also operate the sheet metal roller.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders and blueprints or instructions to form and roll parts.
  • Monitor sheet metal as it’s being formed, inspecting pieces of sheet metal for imperfections and overall quality.
  • Scan in and out of jobs in the ERP system to accurately record time to the project.
  • Program and setup press brake equipment to set specifications.
  • Utilize precise measuring tools to ensure products meet specifications
  • Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto work piece.
  • Follow all safety requirements
  • Transfer of parts via forklift to other departments
  • Maintain press brake and the dies.
  • Work within deadlines and complete tasks efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean and safer work area

Qualifications

  • 2 years previous Press Brake experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metals and fabrication – stainless steel preferred
  • Strong blueprint interpretation skills
  • Basic computer experience
  • Excellent math skills
  • Must be able to accurately read tape measure and other measuring tools
  • Good communication skills both oral and written

Job purpose

The position is responsible for installation, commissioning, and customer training of various types’ of equipment. Provide service and customer support in person at customer facilities and via phone.

When at a customer facility you will be paid DOUBLETIME.

BASED OUT OF ROSEVILLE, IL – When not traveling to a customer facility you will be working in Roseville, IL.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Design, test, and make schematics of panels and electrical components for smokehouses and other projects.
  • Work with Automation Engineers to help design, program, and test automated machinery processes.
  • Organizes work by reviewing daily requirement; checking and gathering supplies to help better/service job.
  • Install, maintain and repair electronic, mechanical and electrical components.
  • Travel to job sites in service area, and work to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends to service emergency needs of our customers.
  • Document all installed equipment upon arrival; necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacements parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
  • Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest technologies.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, additional services, business potentials, and opportunities).
  • R & D of Equipment
  • Service existing accounts by investigating complaints, conducting test; resolving problems. Through visits to the customer facility and/or through phone/computer communication.
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance.
  • Documents service and installation actions by documenting processes, and producing timely and detailed service reports.
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Document processes for better training of our customers.
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization in various departments.
  • Build positive relationships with customers

Qualifications

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, plans, and manuals.
  • Experience working with 480VAC, 3Ø in an Industrial environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
  • Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
  • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

Working condition

Regular travel will be expected with this position. Balance of work load may be split into 2 categories: In house customer demos & training/Ongoing R&D of equipment advancements.
