Rocky’s New Wagon

Every mascot deserves their own pimped out wagon – and that’s just what we gave Western Illinois University’s mascot Rocky!

WIU approached our team with a pretty custom project: design and build Rocky a mobile dog house that could be used in parades and other big events. It had to provide their mascot with all the creature comforts while being durable enough to last for years. Not only is the house sturdy, it comes complete with a built in air conditioning unit and a dog house must: a personal fire hydrant.

Check out Rocky’s new digs and let us know what you think!

Sponsoring the Warren County Fair

As a locally-grown company, we at Fusion Tech take great pride in our community and regularly invest in making this a better area to live and work. One of the many ways we do this is by regularly sponsoring the Warren County Fair.

We believe in the importance of giving 4H members, cattle and pork raisers, pageant participants, and every other individual participating in the fair the opportunity to develop in their passions and skills. Doing so will only help develop the future of our region.

And we know the importance of investing in our region.

On Thursday, May 29, Fusion Tech Marketing Director Jason Vana and Drafting Designer Grant Roon were guest presenters at the Monmouth-Roseville Junior High School Career Day. Students in the junior high rotated between a number of career day presentations all morning, learning about various local employers and possible career paths for their future.

Monmouth-Roseville Junior High students learned about the various careers represented at Fusion Tech, from our shop positions to drafting and marketing. Vana and Roon walked students through a typical day, explained the education and training needed, talked about the best and worst parts of such careers, and answered questions from the students. Monmouth Roseville Visits Fusion Tech

On Thursday, April 10, Fusion Tech played host to 26 students from Monmouth Roseville High School as part of a tour designed for the Industrial Arts class taught by Dan Livermore.

Fusion Tech General Manager Dan Bentz took the students on a tour of the Fusion Tech facilities, giving them a first-hand view of the industrial arts in action. Students were intrigued by the level and scope of the projects Fusion Tech takes on, and had a number of questions about what we do.

The facility tour isn’t the only way Fusion Tech assists the industrial arts class at Monmouth-Roseville High School. Every school year, we provide the class with scrap carbon steel for students to learn and practice their welding. These are just some ways Fusion Tech is investing in the next generation.

Fusion Tech Creates a Great Tribute

Here at Fusion Tech, there isn’t much we can’t do. From plant redesigns to custom memorial markers, our team can design, fabricate, and install any of your metal needs.

Recently, we were honored to craft the parts for a sculpture for an urban renewal and memorial green space located on West Jackson Street in Macomb, Illinois. The sculpture is titled ‘American Classic’ and is a tribute to the working class residents of Macomb. It references the railroad and the city of Macomb, and its economic impact in Macomb.
