Fusion Tech Donates over $45,000 to Local Food Pantries

Fusion Tech is proud to announce that as of today, we have donated a total of $45,807 to support local food pantries during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the start of the pandemic, we developed a solution to facilitate social distancing at meat and poultry processing plants — mounting polycarbonate shields between employees to help processing plants stay open — as a way to help our customers and help prevent the spread of the virus.

Fusion Tech Donates to Local Food Pantries

Giving back to our local community is a core value here at Fusion Tech.

As a company that started local and stayed local, we feel a responsibility to invest back into the communities surrounding us — to help improve the quality of life and keep our communities safe and healthy.

That’s why we made the decision two weeks ago to donate $5 of the sale of every COVID-19 Guard we sold to food pantries in our area.

covid-19 shut down

Fusion Tech Closed During Illinois COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place Order

On Friday, March 20, 2020, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker issued a “shelter-in-place” order for the entire state of Illinois from March 21 to April 7 in order to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Due to this order, Fusion Tech has been required to shut down all operations until the shelter-in-place order is lifted.

During the shutdown, we will only be processing critical service and support issues or spare parts for food processing companies. We are equipped with the correct credentials to respond quickly to those requests.

Our automated phone system has been updated to forward those critical requests to the appropriate person who can get those spare parts to you in a timely fashion.

Should you have a critical issue, please call our office at 309-588-4803.

All other industries and requests will be logged and processed once the shelter-in-place order is lifted and we return to normal operations.

Requests for quotes on our equipment can be made via the website. Our marketing and sales team are working remotely to assist you.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will do everything in our power both during and after the shutdown to ensure your projects are completed in a timely and healthy fashion.
