Fusion Tech Donates to Local Food Pantries

Giving back to our local community is a core value here at Fusion Tech.

As a company that started local and stayed local, we feel a responsibility to invest back into the communities surrounding us — to help improve the quality of life and keep our communities safe and healthy.

That’s why we made the decision two weeks ago to donate $5 of the sale of every COVID-19 Guard we sold to food pantries in our area.

Fusion Tech Commits to Helping Local Food Pantries

Keeping people fed is part of our business.

As a manufacturer of food processing equipment, Fusion Tech is part of the critical supply chain that keeps our country fed — a responsibility we take seriously, especially now during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.

That’s why we’ve committed to helping stock our local food pantries to provide for those in need.

For each COVID-19 Guard we sell to food processing companies, we will donate $5 of the proceeds to our local food pantries.

Fusion Tech Helps Donate Intubation Boxes to McDonough District Hospital

As a business that started and stayed local, we believe it’s essential to give back to our community, especially in crazy and uncertain times like this.

We are happy to announce that this week, we were able to donate the plexiglass used to build an intubation box for McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Illinois.

The project was spearheaded by Jacob Bentz, son of Fusion Tech owners Kathy and Brandon Bentz, and friend Alec Thompson.

Fusion Tech Hosts Warren County 4-H Club

Investing in the local community is important to us here at Fusion Tech.

It’s why we were excited to have the Happy Hustlers club from our local Warren County 4-H group came out to visit our facility on Thursday, June 6.

Warren County 4h Happy Hustlers tour shopSeven members of the club, along with two chaperones, were treated to a brief history and overview of our company from Dan Bentz, VP of Sales, and a tour of our facility from Jason Vana, Marketing Director. They even got to see the progress of our current expansion and learn how it will help not only us as a company but our local economy as well.

We showed students some current projects we’re working on, both in our drafting department and on the shop floor. They were able to see our new Snack Stick Cutter, two of our Smokehouses, some platforms and stairs, and a few conveyors all that are being built for our customers.

“It was a joy having the Happy Hustlers club at our facility,” explained Jason Vana, marketing director. “The students loved getting to see our shops and the various equipment we use to provide solutions to our customers. As a company, we think it’s important to invest back into our local community, and helping young people see that there is a big company out here with a global reach, and to introduce them to the world of manufacturing, is one way we do that.”

In December 2018, Fusion Tech made a substantial year-end donation to the Warren County 4-H club. Customers and community members were able to vote on where we would make the donation, and the 4-H club won by 54 votes.

If your club or organization would like to schedule a tour of the Fusion Tech facilities, please contact us at [email protected].
