Fusion Tech Holds Vote, Donates to Warren County 4-H
Fusion Tech, a leading manufacturer of custom engineered food processing equipment and systems located in Roseville, Illinois, made a donation of $10,000 to the Warren County 4H Club.
Each year, Fusion Tech asks customers to vote on a charity to receive a year-end donation.
Jason Vana, marketing director, stated, “The year-end donation vote is a favorite among our customers. Rather than send out Christmas cards that will eventually end in the trash, we decided back in 2016 to use that money to support a good cause — and let our customers vote on where it goes. They love it!”
Customers had a choice between the Warren County 4H Club and Jamieson Community Center in Monmouth, Illinois.
Voting was open from December 18 to noon on December 28. Fusion Tech customers received a Christmas email with the option to vote between the two nonprofits — but quickly grew from there.
“I made the happy mistake of taking a picture of the voting results after one day and posting it on our Instagram and Facebook pages. Within minutes, we had twenty plus people casting a vote on the picture. So we made the decision to open voting to the community — and had both the 4H and the Jamieson Center sharing the poll to get more votes. It was a fun experience,” continued Vana.
The poll garnered 784 votes between Facebook and the email sent to Fusion Tech customers, with the following results:
- Warren County 4H: 419 votes
- Jamieson Community Center: 365 votes
Kathy Bentz, president and owner, stated, “We are proud to support such a great organization with a financial gift. Both organizations are doing important work in our region and we’re glad we were able to help raise awareness and support for them through social media.”
McCala Miller, 4-H Program Coordinator, said, “Warren County 4-H is a program that services more than 150 youth locally. Warren County 4-H has over 50 project areas ranging from Livestock to Aerospace. These programs help youth learn responsibility and help to make a brighter future for themselves. The donation from Fusion Tech is greatly appreciated. These funds will help youth make the best better! Thank you!”
