Fusion Tech welcomes Nick Brown, Smokehouse Technology Manager and Food Scientist to the team.
Nick holds a Masters Degree in Meat Science from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, specializing in processed meats. He has worked as a food scientist in the cooked meats division for some of the world’s largest meat processing companies and learned under some of the best in the industry around thermal processing, product development, manufacturing, process control, and more.
As the Smokehouse Technology Manager and Food Scientist, Nick will be teaching customers basic meat science in consultations and our short courses, as well as helping to diagnose and provide solutions for their smokehouse and processing challenges.
Nick is excited to be joining Fusion Tech, saying…

When he’s not busy solving client challenges, Nick spends time on a small family ranch in southwest Oklahoma, running a small herd of registered Full Blood Fleckvieh Simmental Cattle. He enjoys being outdoors doing things like hiking, hunting, long-range shooting, and wildlife habitat improvement. He also enjoys nice restaurants, theater shows, museums, and city life.
