Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received in a company. They pack the goods in shipping containers, develop labels and shipping documents and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Unloading trucks, including small boxes to large plates involving usage of fork-trucks and hand dollies
- Processing of all paperwork for all incoming items and making sure the items are received properly and distributed to the appropriate departments
- Gathering of all components and parts that are scheduled for daily shipments
- May include working with supervisors and other departments to bring all processes together
- Building Crates and packaging product.
- Stamping and marking of parts
- Occasional deliveries
- Maintain Inventory-Organization
- Final visual inspection of products going out to customers and assistance in processing of paperwork
- Passivation of products as needed
- Fill in for those that are absent to ensure product meets deadlines
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with shipping and receiving
- Professional and proactive work ethic
- Prior knowledge of loading semi-trucks
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metals and fabrication – stainless steel preferred
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to adjust to change in schedules with little notice
- Must operate fork lift
- Operate various hand tools and equipment –including drills, miter saws, reciprocating saws, table saws, wrenches, etc.
- Must listen and follow directions
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
- Good Analytical to resolve problems
- Excellent organizational skills
Working Conditions
Performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work inside the shop setting with exposure to shop noise, dust particles, and field elements to be expected n this role. Also will regularly work outside to load and unload trucks.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically active role
- Use of hand and feet
- Standing for prolonged period of times up to 8 to 10 hours per day.

Compensation:
Salary will be determined by experience and qualifications. A benefits package that includes health insurance, PTO, and a simple IRA will be provided.
