Job Purpose:
The primary role of the saw operator is cutting parts using CNC and manual saws to customer prints.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints. Including customer prints and manufacturing drawings, shop routers, manufacturing specifications, and quality control documents.
- Setting up and programming machines
- Part inspection to provide compete saw cut components to print
- Cut parts from bar, tube, flat stock, and pipe. Metal and Plastic.
- Complete machine set-up
- Properly puts inventory away in the correct bin
- Operate job crane to load heavy materials onto the conveyor for the saw
- Programming the saw
- Load and unload parts from machines
- De-burring of parts
- Maintain and clean and safe environment
- Inventory Control
- Scan in and out of jobs in the ERP system to accurately record time to the project
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Saw operator
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metals and fabrication – stainless steel preferred
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills
- Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
- Excellent math skills
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring tools
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to adjust to change in schedules with little notice
- Must operate fork lift
- Operate various hand tools and equipment –including grinders, portable band saw, air tools, wrenches, etc.
- Must work effectively under supervision and independently follow work orders.

Working Conditions:
Performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work inside the shop setting with exposure to shop noise, dust particles, and field elements to be expected n this role. Occasionally you will work outside.

Compensation:
Hourly compensation will be determined by experience and qualifications. A benefits package that includes health insurance, PTO, and a simple IRA will be provided.
