3 Amazing Charities You Can Choose From to Receive a Donation

Last year, we started a new holiday tradition here at Fusion Tech that quickly became a customer and employee favorite.

Rather than send out Christmas cards that eventually get thrown away, we take the money we would spend on printing and postage, add some to it, and donate that money to a deserving, amazing charity.

Charities are helped. Trees are saved. And lives are changed.

The best part: we let you, our customers and friends, choose which charity receives the donation!

All you have to do is be subscribed to our newsletter by the end of the day on Tuesday, December 19 to ensure you receive the voting email on Wednesday, December 20!

Donation Requirements

We are excited to present three amazing charities you can vote on to receive a donation across three categories: Veterans, Children, and Health.

Each charity has a minimum of an A rating on a variety of charity watch groups to ensure donations are handled and administered ethically, and live up to the solutions they claim to provide.

Other requirements included:

  • Roughly 75% or more of their budget is spent on programs
  • Spend $35 or less to raise $100 in public support
  • Do not hold excessive assets in reserve
  • Meet strict governance benchmarks

Charities to Choose

The following three charities are open for voting to receive this year’s donation:

starlight children's foundation

Starlight Children’s Foundation

Starlight creates moments of joy and comfort to hospitalized children and their families. For 35 years, Starlight has brought smiles to more than 60 million critically, chronically and terminally ill children in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.

According to Starlight’s website, every 30 seconds, a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. These children are often scared, confused, lonely and facing serious medical treatments. That’s where Starlight comes in.

Starlight programs turn a child’s pain, fear and stress into laughter, fun and joy by providing seriously ill children the best in entertainment, education and one-of-a-kind experiences – because sick kids are still kids.

breast cancer research foundation

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

The mission of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. They provide critical funding for cancer research worldwide to fuel advances in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis and survivorship.

According to the BCRF website, since their founding in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder, BCRF has raised more than half a billion dollars for lifesaving research. Through a unique and streamlined grants program, they seek out the brightest minds in science and medicine and give them the necessary resources to pursue their best ideas. As a result, researchers are able to make discoveries and design new approaches to address all aspects of breast cancer—and do so in record time.

Homes for our Troops

Homes for Our Troops

Homes For Our Troops builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post – 9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Since 2004, HFOT has built over 240 specially adapted homes nationwide.

According to the HFOT website, HFOT builds homes as a departure point for these Veterans to rebuild their lives, and once again become highly productive members of society. Despite their life-altering injuries, many of our Veterans have embarked on new careers, completed their college degrees, or started families. Empowered by the freedom a mortgage-free and specially adapted home brings, these Veterans can now focus on their recovery and returning to their life’s work of serving others. Many have embraced their roles as motivational speakers, sharing their messages of persevering through tragedy with groups and classrooms around the country; others take to a national platform to promote awareness of Veteran suicide, homelessness and PTSD.
