Fusion Tech Integrated, a custom metal fabrication company specializing in the food processing industry, announced today that is has acquired Cove Equipment, a provider of shredders, slicers, dicers, and smokehouses with Total-Flow-Control technology.
When you have a small processing space, finding equipment that can fit and still do what you need done while adhering to safety regulations can be a challenge.
Low ceilings can prevent you from using crossovers for employee movement. Small rooms can limit the amount of conveying space you can utilize. Tight corners can make it difficult to fit a typical radius conveyor that can integrate with your equipment.

Belt conveyors are one of the most used pieces of equipment in a food processing plant, conveying everything from heavy product boxes to individual potato chips for frying. These versatile machines are relatively simple and, when purchased from a quality manufacturer, are pretty reliable.

On Tuesday, October 20, Fusion Tech General Manager Dan Bentz partnered with Bunzl to show off our ergonomic and safety solutions at an on-site Ergonomic / Safety Showcase at Hormel Foods in Austin, Minnesota.
Included in our booth were our new Ergo Trim Station, featuring an ergonomic stand with removable seat, and our Chem-Grate Ergonomic Stand, as well as our Ergonomic and Safety Solutions catalog and ergonomic stands video. Hormel employees were able to interact with and try out our ergonomic and safety solutions and view our 3D Modeling and Design services.

It’s why ergonomics — the study of how to improve the fit between the tasks of the job and the employees who perform the work — play a significant role in promoting safe workplaces and reducing the high cost of employee absenteeism and injury.
