Fusion Tech Participates in Manufacturing Day

On Friday, March 27, Fusion Tech participated in the annual Manufacturing Day and Welding Competition held at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois. Organized as a way for current college and high school students to learn about exciting career opportunities available in the manufacturing field, the Carl Sandburg College Manufacturing Day was a prime way for Fusion Tech to continue investing in the next generation of manufacturing professionals.

A number of students visited our table, learning more about the various career opportunities available to them right here in the area. Our team was able to answer questions, hand out information, and cheer on the students as they competed in the welding competition.

Participating in the Carl Sandburg College Manufacturing Day and Welding Competition is just one way Fusion Tech invests in the next generation.

5 Reasons to Replace Supporting Equipment

It’s fairly easy to know when to replace your main processing equipment. Constant breakdowns, infinite repairs, inability to keep up with product yield goals, not compliant with updated sanitary design and industry standards – all are signs it’s time to replace your main equipment.

But what about when to replace supporting equipment? The tables, hooks, dumpers, vats, racks and carts that keep your processing moving along? In most cases, they either work and meet your needs, or they don’t. So how do you know when it’s time to update them before it reeks havoc on your operation?

5 Benefits of an In-house Design Team

When it comes to developing custom food processing equipment, accessory items, processing line and factory layouts, few manufacturers are equipped to take on the full challenge like Fusion Tech. There’s one key aspect about our company that sets us apart – we have a fully staffed design and drafting team.

Most manufacturers of food processing equipment have the fabrication side down, but lack greatly when it comes to on-staff designers, drafters, and 3D modelers. Fusion Tech is different. We have eight full time staff members dedicated to design and drafting, and that team is continuing to grow. (Are you a SolidWorks designer? We’re hiring!)

custom deboning

9 Reasons a Custom Deboning System is Better

When it comes to equipping your deboning operation with the necessary sanitary equipment, you want the best bang for your buck. Go too cheap, and the equipment is likely to break down or wear out on you quickly. Spend too much, and the higher ups are going to question your budgetary decisions. You need to find the right balance of longevity, durability, and assimilation into your operation, as well as cost, wait time, and delivery.

Finding the right equipment to fit that bill is near impossible. Do a quick Google search for deboning equipment, and you’ll find pages upon pages of results – and there’s no guarantee that you’ll find what you need in the first few pages. Who has time for that?!

There should be a better way to find the deboning equipment you need.
